Just wanted to reference a quote from you and ask you what one would do if they were born "less fortunate". How would you climb from the ashes?

With all due respect, I am sure that when Bill Gates's kids were born, they were not on the same equal terms as when my son was born. Many are born into riches and fame and many are born into poverty and ruins. If you call that being born equal maybe you need to re-evaluate what equality is.

Oh, and just to make my point now because I don't really feel like listening to your time wasting drivel...

The Jobs family

Steve Jobs was born on February 24, 1955, in the city of San Francisco. His biological mother was either an unwed graduate student named Joanne Simpson, and his biological father was a political science or mathematics professor, a native Syrian named Abdulfattah John Jandali.
Being born out of wedlock in the puritan America of the 1950s, the baby was put up for adoption. Joanne had a college education, and she insisted that the future parents of her boy be just as well educated. Unfortunately, the candidates, Paul and Clara Jobs, did not meet her expectations: they were a lower-middle class couple that had settled in the Bay Area after the war. Paul was a machinist from the Midwest who had not even graduated from high school. In the end, Joanne agreed to have her baby adopted by them, under the firm condition that they later send him to college.

It's liberal way of life. They would be blaming the world for all of their problems.

Don't blame the world, it's already been here before you libtards.

Oh my God Wabash...how did Jobs do it?

He was born out of wedlock, adopted, had uneducated lower middle parents (meaning they were poor), had a troubled youth, and died a billionaire.

What gives? How did he do it?

Did the government help him out?

Was there foul play involved?

Food stamps maybe?

What the fuck?????

Yea, really What the fuck!! LOL.

Steve Jobs is obviously a great success story and I never said someone can not be a success just because they were born poor or "less fortunate" . I applaud those who actually make something of their lives when they either started with nothing or had nothing at some point in their adult lives. Twice in my lifetime as an adult I have been in a position where i was out of work and had basically nothing and still feel Ive had a successful life by my standards. Im not rich by any means and never will be even close to rich. But what I have I earned every bit of myself. I got no handouts from the government or anyone else and still was able to suceed in life(so far anyway). All I was saying was that a kid born into a poor family is not starting out on the same equal level as the kid born to a rich family. They are not equal when they start life. I am not talking about where or how they end up in life, only about when they begin life. So, I stand by my statement...

Wow, does Gas Man not even believe that people are born on unequal playing fields? He is dumber than I thought. And even I was born on the beneficial side of the playing field.

Conservatives literally have no grasp on reality. It's pretty funny to see.

Yea, in your Utopia everyone can make it, in reality everyone can't make it. I deal with reality... you can dream all you want!

And it has nothing to do with capitalism. What I advocate helps you and other capitalists out more than what you advocate. That's how dumb you are.

And weren't you a dumb fuck who married in to wealth? That's basically the same principle.

Relax dude, the kid is just an attention whore, he would do whatever it takes to get the responds. The reason he does not troll in OFFSHORE forum because the Mod would ban him immediately.

This is one of a few places he can troll...

Gasman's point is spot on. Never mind somebody like Jobs, there are literally millions of Americans born poor that have made themselves millionaires, and tens of millions of Americans that moved themselves into the middle class.

In the late 70's early 80's, Vietnamese refugees came to this country dealing with handicaps bigger than any person born in this country could even imagine. They were poor, lost everything, lost loved ones and couldn't speak English. They didn't make excuses like the race baiters teach their flock, they worked hard, they worked multiple low paying jobs and they went to school.

they evolved into the highest income demographic in this country

there are so many such examples, you have to be a liberal to not know the truth

Willie brings up a good point with the Vietnamese refugees. They bonded together and worked towards common goals. They made it a point to make life better for their kids than it was for them, a rare trait in this greedy environment we have now. They stressed education, improved neighborhoods, became involved in their communities, and all without race baitors like Sharpton et al. That used to be the All American way of life, work hard, play harder, and promote the general welfare. They make pretty damned good baguettes too. When you do all the things they have done for all of the right reasons then you reap the benefits. The language barrier did not stop them and they never made excuses. You gotta love the fact that they did all that but in reality you can only do those things here, only in America. The blue print is still there all you have to do is follow it.
